Mission Statement

The Lima Housing Taskforce will work to collaboratively develop a 10-year action plan that identifies priorities to accelerate our collective ability to meet the housing needs of all city residents, and sets a foundation for continued success through 2030.

Objectives

• Review the work of prior assessments and identify any gaps or additional information to consider;

• Consider new practices that will better meet the housing demands, needs, and challenges in Lima;

• Develop innovative solutions to ensure that families, individuals and communities have safe, affordable, quality, and stable housing;

• Engage with individuals and organizations to affirm that recommendations align with community experiences, needs and priorities;

• Recommend specific policy proposals and actions that can be taken by the public and private sector to improve housing; and

• Publish an implementation timeline to address the recommended strategies in the Harsany Assessment, as well as additional strategies identified by the Task Force.
